The combined poems by Naomi Smith Sarah Gmeiner, and Hope Robinson

One morning in August 1954

A fuzzy spider sat on a tatami mat

It was a god sign
It was a memorial day
The atom bomb had been dropped on Hiroshima nine years ago
Millions of people remember the day
Hundreds of white doves were freed
Like Spirits of the dead flying into freedom

Dragons fidgeted and nosily gulped the kindergarten turtle.

Thunderbolts burned the runner before she could walk.

Look out lazy bones, look out dry bones.
